What do we do?

  • Amerimmune sets up flow cytometry in-office labs that belong 100% to the respective clinics.

  • Identifies and develops tests within the clinics in-office lab.

  • Provides all the necessary instruments and supplies to be able to set up and run the lab.

  • Provides a Laboratory Information System (LIS) to the laboratory (the Electronic Healthcare Management System of the laboratory).

  • Identifies and trains Medical Technicians (MT)/ Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT)/M.S./PhDs and laboratory directors, when needed.

  • Develops the laboratory manual, basic tests, pipeline tests and all necessary validation/ranges in compliance with a high complexity CLIA-approved laboratory.

  • Supports the in-office lab in any areas that require assistance.



Job Summary

We are seeking a clinical laboratory technologist for a clinical flow cytometry laboratory. The technologist will perform a variety of both administrative and technical procedures to support clinical sample processing. The medical technologist will primarily process and run patient blood samples then perform a preliminary analysis of the clinical flow cytometry data under the direction of the laboratory supervisor and technical director.

Responsibilities and Duties

The essential duties and responsibilities needed to perform this job successfully, including, but not limited to:

  • Follows study method, protocol or SOPs in accordance with GLP/GCP and CLIA/CAP regulations

  • Performs accurate patient specimen documentation,

  • Processes and stains peripheral blood specimens for Flow Cytometry.

  • Performs proper QC and sample acquisition on a flow cytometer.

  • Conducts sample analysis

  • Operates and maintains compliant use of all analyzers and other equipment.

  • May be asked to assist with the develop, optimization, validation and implementation of flow cytometric assays for research studies and clinical diagnostic purposes.

  • May participate in studies to understand the biologics and mechanism of immune cells underlying different diseases of interests.

  • Uses safety information necessary for proper handling of infectious agents and takes appropriate action to contain a spill and perform decontamination procedures.

  • Takes the initiative to perform additional task, as learning new technique and interacts with multi-disciplinary departments.

  • The incumbent carries out additional duties and tasks, if needed to achieve the goals of clinical flow diagnostics and R & D groups within the company.


Minimum qualification and experience requirements

  • BS in Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a similar scientific field, or a Medical Technologist degree.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced matrix team environment.
    Self-motivated

  • Ability to work with and learn multiple software applications.

  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time.

  • Ability to properly lift 50lbs

  • Preferred qualifications include Flow Cytometry experience.
